The 文理职员委员会 is comprised of staff members representing the academic units within the College of Arts and Sciences.  The Staff Council shall serve as an advisory and consulting group for the Dean.  It will also serve as spokespersons for the concerns and interests of the College's staff members with the unified objective of improving the educational and working environment of the College of Arts and Sciences and 州立鲍灵格林大学 as a whole.

Section 1. The 文理学院教职员委员会, hereinafter referred to as “A&S SC” shall serve:

Section 2. The A&SC不是一个表达个人不满或投诉的论坛.

Section 1. The A&S SC shall be composed of:

  • nine (9) voting members:
    • two (2) representatives:
      • one (1) from Administrative Staff and one (1) from Classified Staff from each Division and the College Office (totaling eight representatives); and

Section 2. 所有书院正式职员, full or part-time, are eligible to serve after a continuous four (4) month period of employment at 州立鲍灵格林大学.

Section 5. All representatives will serve two (2) year terms; these terms will be staggered so that each year's A&S SC will consist of both new and veteran representatives, thereby ensuring continuity.

Section 8. A&S SC representative's seat shall be declared vacant when the following conditions occur:

Section 1. The A&ssc应具有一般权力, subject to the approval of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences or his/her representative, to draw up rules and regulations and elect officers to facilitate its own operations.

Section 2. The A&S SC may examine and make recommendations to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, 或其指定的代表, on any staff issues within his or her division; however, the A&S SC's primary focus shall be on those matters which have an impact on the working conditions and employment of the entire College's staff members.

Section 3. The A&S SC may request to review appropriate reports and/or receive informal briefings on all aspects of College and University life affecting staff members.

Section 2. The first election shall take place at the first meeting after election of the A&S SC. Subsequently, officers shall be elected at the beginning of each new term year.

These bylaws shall be adopted by a majority vote of all current College of Arts and Sciences staff members.
