每年, the Congressional 艺术 Competition provides a tremendous opportunity to showcase the wealth of artistic talent in Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District. It began in 1982 to provide an opportunity for members of Congress to encourage 和 recognize the artistic talents of their young constituents. Since then, over 650,000 high school students have been involved in the nationwide competition. High school students who live or attend school in Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District are encouraged to submit a piece of art for this year’s competition.
The winning piece will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. 一年, 和 three honorable mention pieces will be displayed in Congressman Latta’s district offices.

Light+Time: Animation 和 Gaming Technologies
Eastern Michigan University’s simulation, 动画, 和 gaming department is hosting a Light+Time: Animation 和 Gaming Technologies exhibit in the Ford Hall gallery. The EMU community will have the opportunity to experience technology used in an artistic 和 fun way. The exhibit runs from now through Oct. 27. It will be open for viewing on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. 到2点.m.

Embracing Global Engagement Conference Award Winner
艺术史专业, 玫瑰Brookhart, was awarded a prize for Best 本科 Student Presentation at BGSU’s Embracing Global Engagement Conference. Her presentation on “Storytelling in the Oltrarno” described her experience immersing herself in the art 和 culture of Florence through ISI-Florence courses 和 her internship with the Augustinians of Santo Spirito.
