Dr. Hennessy has been with the 办公室 校园的可持续发展 since it began in August 2008. He is originally from Yellow Springs, Ohio but has resided in Bowling Green for many years. 他得了B。.S. from Muskingum University, his J.D. from The Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University, and his Ph.D. in Higher 教育 Administration from Bowling Green State University. As the current 可持续性 Manager here at BGSU he manages and coordinates all university sustainability efforts, 项目, 活动, and initiatives to achieve the goals of reduction of emissions, 减少废物, 和教育/推广. Dr. Hennessy enjoys working with students in developing an understanding and enthusiasm for the value of sustainability and how it connects to their day-to-day 活动.
Zach is a graduate of BGSU, receiving his M.S. in applied Geospatial 科学 in Fall 2023. Zach began with the 办公室 校园的可持续发展 in August 2022 as a graduate student intern. 来自平克尼, Michigan (about 25 minutes north of Ann Arbor), Zach is now continuing to assist our office in a variety of capacities as a part-time staff assistant. His interests in sustainability are multifaceted; his initial passion for sustainability was for recycling and diverting things from the landfill. 现在, in addition to zero-waste initiatives, his interests include sustainable transportation, 加强greenspaces, 堆肥, and holistic environmental education. Zachary is a fourth-year undergraduate student from Bowling Green, OH. Zachary is currently attaining his bachelor’s degree in Environmental 科学 with a specialization in Restoration here at BGSU. His passion for sustainability began when he realized environmental problems locally and around the world and wanted to educate himself in a career field where he could help fix the problems, while contributing towards something that truly matters. Zachary believes that “Visualizing how we interact with the world through a science and even humanitarian lens can help us solve these difficult problems and will aid in our recognition that humans and nature alike are interconnected and impact one another.” Zachary’s favorite hobbies include chocolate milk taste testing, 维基百科速度运行, 在YouTube上狂看. Zachary is also involved in “GRITT” an on campus weightlifting club. If he had to choose between BGSU orange or brown, he would pick brown!
Sean is a fourth-year undergraduate student from Worthington, OH. Sean is currently attaining his bachelor’s degree in Environmental 科学 with a specialization in Sustainable Management here at BGSU. Sean’s passion for sustainability began from his childhood. He has always been a camper and hiker therefore he has always experienced the beauty of nature untouched by humans. Sean believes that “可持续性 is a way for us to protect nature while preserving the resources we have, so it's important that we think sustainably whenever we can.” Sean enjoys running in his free time. If Sean had to choose between BGSU orange or brown, he would pick orange!
